Omicron wave could potentially disrupt programming
Dear Club members,
As the number of COVID-19 cases continue to climb due to the Omicron variant, we are preparing for some potentially difficult months ahead.
Based on information from the Provincial Health Officer, there has been an increase in cases and throughout the province we have seen the subsequent repercussions on businesses and services. We are preparing for the potential that we could also have staffing challenges that cause temporary, short-term closures.
Navigating the next month will take your help, patience and understanding. We ask that you please continue to follow all public health orders, do daily health checks with your children (https://www.k12dailycheck.gov.bc.ca/healthcheck) and ask you to please keep your children at home if they feel sick.
We continue to follow the advice and direction of the Provincial Health Officer and have implemented extensive COVID-19 protocols in our programs. We are also following the direction that has been given to child care programs by the BC Centre for Disease Control (http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/childcare-schools/child-care).
As we manage potential changes or potential closures of programs due to exposures or staff shortages, we ask that families watch for emails from their Club.
We recognize the inconvenience this may cause for your family and will continue to notify you as quickly as possible of any changes or closures.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your local Club. We anticipate the next couple of months to be challenging, and we are committed to do what we can to ensure the safe and nurturing environments that makes our Clubs great places. Please stay safe and healthy. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Welder
