Beem Credit Union’s Moonlight Movie Tour Coming to the Okanagan

Beem Credit Union and BGC Okanagan are excited to announce the Moonlight Movie Tour will be landing in the Okanagan this August and you’re invited!

Migration will be screened on a giant inflatable screen under the starry sky at Memorial Park in West Kelowna (3743 Old Okanagan Highway) on Tuesday, Aug. 20, Elemental on Wednesday, Aug. 21 in Lake Country (Swalwell Park, 10050 Bottom Wood Lake Rd.), and Kung Fu Panda 4 in Kelowna (City Park (1600 Abbott St.) on Thursday, Aug. 22. Arrive early to secure prime viewing spots and participate in the exciting family-friendly pre-show activities. A concession stand will be open to satisfy your cravings and quench your thirst. While attendance is free, a suggested donation of $3 per person or $10 per family will go a long way in supporting BGC Okanagan.

“We’re delighted to partner with Beem Credit Union and to be a part of the Moonlight Movie Tour. Proceeds from this event will help BGC Okanagan provide safe spaces for children and youth to experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life,” says Richelle Leckey, Manager of Fund Development and Donor Relations at BGC Okanagan.

“We are thrilled to bring the magic of the Moonlight Movie Tour back to our communities this summer,” said Brian Harris, CEO of Beem Credit Union. “This event is not just about enjoying a great movie under the stars; it’s about rallying together to support the incredible work of our local non-profits. By attending, you become part an integral part of a movement that strengthens the fabric of our communities. Since 2010, we have proudly raised over $210,000 to empower our community partners and their tireless efforts to create positive change. The merger between Interior Savings and Gulf & Fraser in January 2024 has opened up new horizons, allowing Beem to bring the joy of movies and the power of support to even more communities across the province. Together, we are building a brighter future, one movie night at a time.”

Gates open at 7 p.m. Movie-goers will want to bring cash for admission and concession stand treats, as well as lawn chairs and blankets for maximum comfort. Fun activities will be available for the whole family until the movie starts at dusk.
