Interior Savings Moonlight Movie Tour returns to the Okanagan

Interior Savings and BGC Okanagan are excited to announce the Moonlight Movie Tour will be landing in the Okanagan from Aug. 15-18 and you’re invited.

Bring the family to enjoy a movie on a giant inflatable screen under the stars!

Movie Locations:

Penticton: Aug. 15, Hotel Transylvania – Summer Vacation, Okanagan Lake Park

West Kelowna: Aug. 16, Sing 2, Memorial Park

Kelowna: Aug. 17, Luca, City Park (North Field).

Lake Country: Aug. 18, Encanto, Swalwell Park

Everyone is encouraged to arrive early to get a good viewing spot and take part in the family-friendly pre-show activities that will be available. A concession stand will be open to quench your thirst and satisfy your sweet tooth. While there is no charge to attend the event, a donation of $3 per person or $10 for a family is suggested. All funds raised will benefit BGC Okanagan.

“We’re delighted to partner with Interior Savings and to be a part of the Moonlight Movie Tour. Proceeds from this event will help BGC Okanagan provide children, youth and families the tools to realize positive outcomes in self-expression, academics, healthy living, physical activity, mental health, leadership and more. We do this through our daycare, afterschool care, recreation, and support programs that help them become their best selves,” says Richelle Leckey, Community Engagement Coordinator of BGC Okanagan.

This screening is one of nine Moonlight Movie nights taking place throughout the Interior of BC this summer, each benefiting a local non-profit organization.

“Since 2010 the tour has raised over $183,000 to support youth and mental wellness programs”, says Brian Harris, CEO of Interior Savings. “We’re pleased to bring the Moonlight Movie tour back to our communities and help raise awareness and funds for local non-profit organizations. Our hope is this event will provide an opportunity for communities to reconnect and for families to create some wonderful memories together.

Gates open at 7 p.m. Movie-goers will want to bring cash for admission and concession stand treats, as well as lawn chairs and blankets for maximum comfort.
