Due to the wildfire situation impacting many of our BGC Okanagan Club members, families, and staff – we will be providing the most up-to-date information on Club programming and closures on this webpage.

Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 – 9:35 a.m.

Oliver Youth Centre – Operations in the hangar are suspended until Friday, Sept. 3, in order to house the provincial firefighters. Staff are connecting with youth in the program on days when the weather allows for community-based programming. Staff will also connect with participants to engage in virtual services.

Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021 – 9:30 a.m.

Webber Road Club – With the imminent threat of wildfire lessened and the reduction of Evacuation Alerts in the area, this Club will re-open on Thursday, Aug. 19. All programs, including recreation, will be running on Aug. 19.
We are asking families to continue to monitor the wildfire alerts and orders (links at the bottom of this page). If the wildfire situation changes, information about our Clubs will be updated on this web page.
Westside Youth Centre – Open for regular programming.
Peachland Club – This Club remains open, with evacuation plans in place. All programming, including recreation, has resumed.
Armstrong Club – Evacuation plans are in place at this Club, and it remains opens for all services at this time.

Webber Road Club – Services for children and families will be offered in Kelowna and Penticton on Wednesday, Aug. 18. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021 –

(UPDATE 6:35 p.m.)

With the reduction of the Evacuation Alert areas in West Kelowna, BGC Okanagan will resume regular operations at the Webber Road Club on Thursday, Aug. 19. Services for children and families will still be offered in Kelowna and Penticton on Wednesday, Aug. 18.

The Webber Club will remain closed on Wednesday, to prepare staff for resuming services. We look forward to seeing children and families back at the Webber Club on Thursday, Aug. 19.

Please make sure you have an emergency plan in place for your family. Knowing what to do will reduce anxiety and help keep you focused and safe. Anyone located near a wildfire should pay close attention to their local authorities for emerging information on evacuation orders and alerts.
